For Your Soul
Anticipation

For Your Eyes
With school busyness, our family’s TV watching has drastically reduced, but our reading time has increased. Currently, I am reading Ella Enchanted aloud to everyone. I can safely attribute this book to my love of Cinderella retellings. My sons and daughter are delightfully flummoxed by this curse of obedience, and it's fun for me to share a childhood favorite with my kids.
For Your Ears
Bridgerton made classical styling of pop music a thing. Now, I have found medieval styles of pop songs, and it is the vibe I need right now.
For Your Taste Buds
This time of year, my kids and I have a Sunday evening ritual of watching The Great British Bake-Off, having tea, and eating treats. Sometimes, the treats are store-bought, and sometimes, they are homemade. It just depends on how our week went. As for teas, I usually opt for an herbal or caffeine-free tea because it is evening time.

For Your Body
Historically, Halloween in my area has been quite chilly. Snow is possible, rain is most likely, and cold winds are definitely present. So, when we choose costumes, we opt for warming layers.
Many people along our trick-or-treat route will have fire pits to warm cold hands by, and some will offer hot cider or cocoa. Adults may also have nips of other warming beverages. Olaf did have some right in his summer song. “The hot and cold are both so intense, put ‘em together. It just makes sense.”
