Who am I?

Hi there, I am Caitlin, a busy mom, a writer, and hopefully here to encourage you. I grew up in the evangelical, homeschool movement of the late 20th century. As an adult, I have done a lot of deconstructing my faith, and now I am reconstructing it.

What I Write

This newsletter is meant to help you in your faith journey. I know that many of the things I was taught in evangelicalism and purity culture were damaging to myself and many others. But that does not mean that God has failed me. I am exploring the many ways that he shows up in the world. While I have experienced hurts from many in the name of God, I believe that they had a narrow view of God, and I am writing about how to see God in many places.

So what?

If you have been hurt by “Christians” or other religious figures, I am so sorry. I know that pain. If you are asking hard questions about the way you were raised I would really like to hear what’s on your heart. Each month I will provide some tools that may help you reconnect with God by connecting with your senses. Every nine weeks I will explore a new series on where you can find the fruit of the spirit in the world.

Working through a faith crisis takes time, and I may only be a few steps ahead of you on that journey. Let’s come together with an open heart and an open mind to the bounties that are there for the finding.
