For Your Soul
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord
You are speaking truth to power, you are laying down our swords
Replanting every vineyard til a brand new wine is poured
Your peace will make us one
I've seen you in our home fires burning with a quiet light
You are mothering and feeding in the wee hours of the night
Your gentle love is patient, you will never fade or tire
Your peace will make us one
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Your peace will make us one.
In the beauty of the lilies you were born across the sea
With a glory in your bosom that is still transfiguring
Dismantling our empires til each one of us is free
Your peace will make us one.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Your peace will make us one.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Your peace will make us one.

For Your Eyes
With all the primaries behind us, the political scene is becoming much more intense. Listening to people spout accusations and idealism that not everyone agrees with can be incredibly difficult. This is where thoughtful writing about ideals is important to understand. I found this recent article deeply insightful.
For Your Ears
I have the perfect thing if you need something humorous and compelling. New Nigeria County is like a TV show for your ears, with the racism and misogynistic scripts flipped upside down, spun around, and regurgitated in a snarky, well-performed fashion. If you are willing to let your view of the world be expanded by this series, you will find much to ponder.
For Your Taste Buds
My younger son, the budding chef, is also becoming a budding forager. He hates reading, but I took him to Barnes & Noble and found a kid’s foraging book with recipes and illustrations, and now he is buried in it, making plans. Gathering morel mushrooms this spring was the start of this venture, and now hiking is not just about the views but the possible fruits we may find. Have you ever foraged for food and flavors to add to your cooking?
For Your Nose
I have one piercing in my nose that had to be redone at one point, and honestly, I am not fond of the process of getting a nose piercing. That said, I did find clip-on noserings as a way to dabble in different kinds of jewelry without the expense and, frankly, significant sinus issues that I had when I got a nasal piercing. Also, the history and social symbolism behind piercings is a fun rabbit hole if you want to go down it.
For Your Body
According to the tracking data on my phone, my recent hike was the equivalent of climbing 59 stairs. But I would say that a hike is far better than climbing stairs.
